We've got some excellent spaces for you to hone your skills.
Formerly a photography store, the Topeka location’s basement had a maze of about a dozen cool photo development darkrooms. We’ve lightened the walls & ceilings, treated them with sound dampening stuff, knocked out many of the interior walls to open up the spaces to accommodate five teaching studios, and outfitted them with nice drumsets, amps, and stereos. There’s even a waiting room where you can kick back and catch up with that latest book while your kiddo’s in the studio. No more sinks either.
Although the Lawrence store is smaller, we've got a nice room equipped with the same kind of setup as Topeka.
Please note, studios are located in the basements of buildings built around 100 years ago and no elevators are available. For students with severe mobility challenges, teachers can be available outside of posted store hours in order to conduct lessons on the main sales floor.
